About

Jim Byrnes Acoustic Band

A local legend in music and television, blues guitarist/vocalist Jim Byrnes is one of Vancouver’s most respected and beloved entertainers. With the release of the 2004 CD, Fresh Horses (Black Hen Music), a fantastic collaboration between Jim and well-known strang-sters Steve Dawson guitars and Jesse Zubot violin was born. A refreshing and exciting project, the new ensemble plays tunes by Neil Young and Bob Dylan plus some down-home country-blues and original instrumentals. A brand new CD, House Of Refuge (Black Hen), celebrates Byrnes’ love of gospel music. Also with Keith Lowe bass and Elliot Polsky drums.
