About

Trace Element

Do you feel like sometimes you need a change of pace? Have you noticed that classic rock acts and tribute bands have saturated the live music venues, making you feel like your watching the same bands over and over again? Meet Trace Element.

Trace Element is a new rock cover band from Port Alberni, B.C. Canada. Forming in 2002, the band has played over forty live shows since April 2003, and show no signs of slowing down. Trace Element cover a variety of new rock on mainstream radio. Bands such as Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Queens of the Stoneage among others, are crowd favorites. The band does all these bands justice, by performing and sounding like you were listening to the actual CD. The band frequently lookout for the next big hit on rock radio, to add to their ever growing repetoire. The band started out playing in their hometown of P.A. and have since played every live music venue there. They have even played some gigs in clubs that previously never had live music. The band has quickly grown a large following, and they have since ventured outside of their hometown for greater exposure. Playing such great live venues as The Queens Hotel(Nanaimo,B.C.), and The Rod and Gun Hotel(Parksville,B.C.), as regulars, has opened up numerous doors for the band. As a result, Trace Element played at the Port Alberni Salmon Festival as the headlining band, after only playing live as a band for four months. They also had the oportunity to play at the Port Alberni Fall Fair, as the opening band for Zapinblack, who are featured on the 2002 Vancouver Islands Rocktoria CD.
